Aryan Restaurant @ Menara Weld

The other day we treat one of our Indian client some nice North Indian Cruisine. Aryan is located in Menara Weld and business is thriving thanks to tourists brought in from India by our local tours.

They serve ok-ok authentic Indian dishes, like Rasam, Lassi, Briyani etc...and they have the world best papadam snacks (non salted). We ate like 5 baskets that day :p

Their set lunch - Nasi briyani

Nice too..unique kind of Naan. Chicken oh so fresh!

You can see what it is but our Indian buddy calls this Indian version of Strawberry! -.-ll

Restaurant Hua Shen

Restaurant Hua Shen new branch is now available in Sunway Mas Commercial Center. The main branch is still operating at Plaza Seri Setia, Sg. Way, Petaling Jaya under the name of Hua Xing.

Anyway, if you're a Hokkien, you will love this place. If you're not a Hokkien, you will also love this place :p

This restaurant is not just any restaurant...the moment you stepped into this restaurant, you will be able to see the chef's newspaper cutting plastered around the restaurant wall. And the chef is a woman surnamed "Loo" (can't read chinese so I don't know her full name) >.<

Apparently she participated in culinary competitions around the world and she does have that top chef white hat thingy on her head.

It's quite easy to locate - just opposite 99 Speedmart

All dishes are good! It's quite easy to order here, as they have their specialty dishes in pictures placed on the wall.

 Snack - Soya Cracker

 Some stuffed meat dish

This is awesome! Deep fried brinjal aka aubergine with thai chilli sauce and fried garlic

 Some pork dish

House taufoo  with petola - awesome!

YUM!

This place actually has a famous and rare dish that you can't really find in Malaysia..called Tee Ya Kueh or simple translation - Soft White Jelly. We skipped this dish as we had rice that day to go with the dishes.

Tee Ya Kueh can be found alot in Taiwan and its made of rice. Sort like Chay Kuey but in chunks and its to be eaten their soy sauce pork belly.

Bidor's Duck Wanton Mee ( In KL)

Quite recently, my colleague took us a must try lunch place near Ara Green.

Little did we realized Bidor famous Duck (soup) Wanton Mee is right here in KL now. Such goodness we don't need to travel and detour so far to enjoy this yummy dish :D

Pun Chun Noodle House aka Bidor Duck Wanton Mee

I don't really know exactly what this street/area is called but its opposite Ara Green Condo

Kitchen - super squeaky clean compared to the original Bidor's Duck Mee.

They do sell some Bidor's goodies as well but very much less variety

Menu - added alot new dishes. They don't have the Bidor's Wu Kok :(

 Soup version

Pandan Barley (but no pandan taste)

Original Bidor Duck Wanton Mee ^ ^

The Zest Cafe

The Zest Cafe - located on the upper floor of The Sphere, Bangsar South was opened by this nice man called Mr.Ong. Yes, he is the boss, and he personally put his hands on the business :)

Since he is such a nice and friendly boss, here is their cafe website : http://zestcafe.com.my/

 Appetizer (recommended)

Main course - Lamb with rice (taste like lamb shank) and mashed potato with pumpkin sauce? Recommended though :)

Dessert - Mango with pastry

Recommended as well :)

Wonder Milk Cafe

Some might heard of this new and famous cupcakes cafe called.. "Wonder Milk"

They serve oh so buttery and wonder-smelling cupcakes in the market lately and they have one of the sweetest birthday delivery cupcakes :)

I used to buy alot Cupcake Chiq or Bisou around KL, it was either too sweet, sugary in texture, dry or smell funny. Some of my friends can't take Wonder Milk Cupcakes 'strong buttery smell' either, but I find it just nice to my liking.

Wonder Milk Cafe currently have 3 outlets, one in Citta Mall, another in Publika and another god knows where (google it)

While Publika outlet is bit cramped in the corner, Citta Mall outlet is just nice for an afternoon tea for two.

 Counter (already *drooling*)

Up close and personal..

My favorite would be the Oreo and Choc Chip Cupcake and I would strongly avoid buying those Sesame Street's cupcakes..coz trust me,your teeth will turn either blue, green or red.

Deco

More Deco..

Apart from Cupcakes, they do sell cookies nicely packed in cute little containers like this..

and they also serve some light lunch such as baked potato (as above), sandwiches, coffees, sodas etc...

Overall, its very indulging for one's soul and I would recommend this as a lovely birthday gift to your loved ones :)

Anuja's Banana Leaf Rice

I love banana leaf rice, especially with fried cuttlefish (sotong goreng). Anuja does not have sotong goreng, but they do have nice fried chicken (ayam goreng) and fish (ikan tenggiri goreng) :D

Anuja Banana Leaf Rice is located across Puduraya bus terminal in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur - upstairs.

Banana Leaf ready to be served (Taken at 12 noon)

The place is usually full by 1pm, with customers mostly comprises of Maybankers working right behind Anuja's Restaurant ( I think there must be 'pintu lorong belakang' nearby Menara Maybank)

Ayam Goreng, Ikan Tenggiri Goreng, Pappadam, Nasi Briyani etc etc etc...
Note: All served hot!

"Kuah Kari", also served hot!
