9 Deadly Words Used By a Women

My banker send me this the other day via watapps

Wonder am I that fussy :p

Snoopy's Coffee

I was in KLCC earlier this year when I chance upon Snoopy's Cafe - Its actually known as Charlie's Brown Cafe- but who cares?

Many faces of Charlie boy

Snoppy's Cafe is located same floor as the baby's section - somewhere at the corner and quite hidden. It's flagship cafe opened in Penang about a year back with good response. However, sales seems to be slower in KL.

Ok, here comes the verdict:

Would advice friends to come just for the concept and relieve your childhood. Take some picture for memories, and get out of this place.

The food was bad, the drink was bad, the place SMELLS BAD of fried food (think mamak with a dirty kitchen smell) and most of all, service was extremely bad and slow. It took us about 15-20mins to get our drinks done. The staff looks extremely busy - doing "nothing".

Forced to take Hot Chocolate if you want Snoppy. Coffee comes with Charlie or Lucy template. Seriously guys, its just a template....

The drink's don't come cheap as well. Hot Choc is price around RM9+ while your Coffee ( Latte, Mocha etc) is priced around RM12+

Overall...failure. Stick with Starbucks.

Memory Lane Dining

This was KL's fine dining place during the 70's.

The Colosseum Cafe & Hotel

I had an opportunity to dine here once during my CIMB days in year 2011. Overall,I feel the place is still pretty much the same since the beginning... The Captain (waiter) is as old as the place, but its a good thing though..coz you will dine with a nostalgic feeling.

We had our lunch there for that day.
I heard dinner would be better if you're going for the steak ( I guess).

Jeannie choosing her meal (notice how big the hanger- thingy on the wall?) Maybe zaman dulu-dulu people wore big coats?

Everything seems to be good on the menu - but one tip when you're unsure what to dig in, just choose the set.

Chicken Cordon Bleu - Since Colosseum has been around for gazzilion years, I believe this is how would how an original "Chicken Cordon Bleu" should be like, unlike below:

(Pic source from google)

While Colosseum Chicken Cordon Bleu presentation is nothing to shout for, but hey at least there is something special to its side dish - Popeye's mashed spinach (yummy btw).

Others - Club's Sandwich was fine. I can't really remember if they have any special drinks..but they have their usual bar and soft drinks. Otherwise, we were too stuffed that day to have anything else.

Publika

If you like to hang out somewhere "different" on a normal Saturday afternoon - may try Publika.

Where is it located?

If you know where I stay, then its only 5 minutes drive away (otherwise you may google "Publika")

Publika was opened somewhere between late year 2011 to early 2012 as far as I can remember..

I visited this place when it was about 10% operational and business is picking up since then. What I am mesmerized bout Publika would be its artistic-mall concept, blended in together with my liking for food.

Overall, Publika reminds me of a modernized and amplified version of Pasar Seni + Bangsar Village.

Publika's Interior

Some art pieces to fill in the mood - the saw art piece (on the left) is made from real saw pieces hung on a thin spring like stick (updated: had since been moved to the side - safety hazard)

Guess who we saw? (far left)
Le owner of Ben's, B.I.G, Plan b.

Not bad..Not bad..thanks for the fine food brought in Mr.Ben!

The Red Bean Bag

May ask what is so special about this place..Nothing really :p

Just that it's:

1) Located in Publika.
2) and they have Guinness (Black Dog) Chocolate Cake.

* we did ask if they have Red Bean tong sui ...(answer is NO obviously) :p

Behold The Black Dog Cake

Verdict : Little to dry to my liking (wish they were more generous on the choc sauce, otherwise rich with "Guinness" essence- kinda reminded me of my grandma's favourite beer and my liking for cakes combined together.

Aside from the cake, ambiance was ok, coffee so-so and food was also so-so. Just one of the nicer place to hang out with your gf's for an afternoon tea.
